Hey,

Just new to the Android rooting game, I have had experience jailbreaking my ipod touch and installing custom roms on my old windows mobile phone but not android. My phone is branded by Telstra, and Australian telecom company but they havent released the 2.2 rom yet.

Just wondering what the best guide to rooting is, I checked my HBOOT version and it's 0.75

Should I backup my apps and messages in any way? I have some paid ones.

And any suggested ROMS? I know they're all different and depend on what youre looking for. I just want sense on 2.2, and maybe some tweaks. Speed or UI enhancements, I'll go for either/both.

And is there a way to un-root? My headphone jack has had some problems where it thinks headphones are plugged in when theyre not. And if it starts thinking that again maybe I'll need to send it in.
