Help! Confused!

Hello guys, new here; great site.

Anyway I've ordered a pulse and it should be with me by Friday. I'm looking to update it to 2.1 and take all the tmobile crap off it as soon as I get it. I've looked around the forums and Im just getting confused with all the 'nandroid' and stuff.

Basically I'm asking for a list of things to download to my sd card/computer/phone etc. And what's the best way to download them and set them up.

The battery on the pulse is actually quite good (1500 mAh, atleast on the U8230, don't know if on the actual U8220 the battery's different...).

You just have to keep GPS/bluetooth off except when your using it, use a program like apndroid to disable 3g when you're not using it, if you want, use also a task killer like "advanced task killer", keep the screen luminosity to the min...

If i was you, i would download A Custom 2.1 Rom, ( FLB1.6)

64MB Swap Partition, AS2D.

Done.

You gotta stop playing with it B)

Only turn Wifi, bluetooth GPS and 3g on when your using them. And you phone should easily last the day (2.1 + the pulses battery gives one of the best battery performance of all android phones B))

its running beautif,y, but i transfered all my data to a bigger memory card last night, wiped it and it started fine, but some of rge apps that came with the phone(superuser, fancy widget) aremissing :s how do i get them back?
