Guest Simon O Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 How do the live wallpapers run at stock? When it's unlocked.. It should be smoother than the pulse but paul says some are smooth some aren't.
Guest rjm2k Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 might defect from the pulse world for one of those, can they be unlocked from orange yet?
Guest Daz555 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 If I was buying a cheap Droid now I would go for that certainly. Not enough for me to bother upgrading though - Pulse was my intro into Android and its great but my next phone will be at the top end spec wise.
Guest niko1986 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Wish I had bought my pulse as a PAYG phone and not a stupid 24 month contract >_<
Guest Daz555 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Blimey, glad this phone did not get released any earlier or I reckon the Pulse would have been abandoned long ago from a development perspective. Thankfully it looks like Pulse is just going to manage to get a very good 2.1 ROM, swap, overclock and multitouch - just in time before everyone jumps ship and legs it! To those that go for a Blade - good luck with it. Looks a decent bit of kit.
Guest mark2410 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 the specs just look crazy for the price
Guest AndroidKiller Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 the specs just look crazy for the price I WANT IT! Selling my pulse mini now!

Guest darkdevil1 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) Just to check... This is better than the Pulse in everyway? yep. I want one of these so bad, but we don't have Orange over in the netherlands  Edited September 23, 2010 by darkdevil1
Guest Holograph Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 yep. I want one of these, but we don't have Orange over in the netherlands  Ehhh, yes we do have. My provider on my Provider list states: T-Mobile Orange
Guest darkdevil1 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) Ehhh, yes we do have. My provider on my Provider list states: T-Mobile Orange We used to have Orange but then they merged with this and that and now they don't exist any more as a separate provider. Merged with T-Mobile I believe Either way, I don't think we can get them over here... if someone sees them in a UK shop that ships internationally, please do link me  Edited September 23, 2010 by darkdevil1

Guest thisweb Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 Woooh hold on boys and girls...has anyone checked what the internet tarrif is yet?? 6 months access for £20 on T-mobile, can it beat that, I bet it doesnt. I guess if its unlockable then it doesn't matter but I bet orange are all over locking it down.
Guest tabor56 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 I sold my Pulse for £70 yesterday so definitely worth doing to get this. Only thing holding me back is the lack of unlock at the moment.
Guest tomjo7 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) Just so you know in the UK it's officially called the San Francisco... Seriously! Take a look! Don't you beleive me? Not enough for me to bother upgrading though - Pulse was my intro into Android and its great but my next phone will be at the top end spec wise. +1 Since I got my entry level Android with the Pulse, and I'm pretty satisfied with it now, I wouldn't go for another one that would be obsolete in a 3 to 4 month period  Looking as there has been a year since the Pulse launched it's not that big of a progress. Cheers though, good luck for the guys getting one.
Guest SA160N Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 .. and I'm pretty satisfied with it now Me too
Guest flip360 Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 (edited) I cant say that this is the pulse killer, more like pulse`s bigger matured brother :) As igor said the pulse is one year old now so you cannot compare it to a phone thats been out no more than a month. Sure it has some more memory and a higher res screen but it must have those specs now because it would be lost in the oncoming 1.5GHz and dual core smartphone madness. After the pulse i would go to a much higher spec phone than this one, sure looks nice and cheap enough though. Edited September 23, 2010 by flip360

Lets forget that memory was the biggest problem with the pulse :)
