Status Bar is impossible to drag down consistently

Is there any alternative status bars that are twice the size, because currently its the main weakness of the resistive screen on this phone. Its taking me several attempts to get it to drag down every time I use it, and its such a commonly used part of Android.

I had the same problem, and found three solutions... The first of these is to use a stylus which is what I do. Second, try using the thin bit of your fingertip just below the nail ever so lightly. Third, try running your finger down from above the screen so the first thing it hits is the top bar.

Sorry it's no software solution, but I hope at least one of those helps!

Try ADW.launcher. You can swipe anywhere on your home-screen to bring notifications down . Only works on home-screen but it's better than nothing :)

I just cut my nail to have a slight point that I can use for that, and also very small check boxes on websites.

Me too on the fingernail front. use it for typing too, even in landscape mode. This is a rediculous thing to do but it works.

Solution: calibrate touch screen. When press up points press litle down. Work perfect. Settings > souds and display > /last option. Try more times and check after.

nice one, i recalibrated the screen, making the top points slightly lower than they should, and its a lot easier to drag down now. still not completely consistent, and im a bit worried about the effects on other things calibrating it slightly wrongly will have had, but ill see how that works out.

no you shouldnt do that... just use a stylous or a pencil and calibrate exactly where the dots areif the yellow dot does not appears where you press re calibrate again and again !

Jeez.....calibrate the screen correctly..theres absolutely no point in calibrating for some adjustment.

just press menu sensor button, then select notifications..does the same job, and doesnt require 2 topics or mutliple "calibrate" posts..

or learn to use your fingernail, or stylus.

I actually assumed people would calibrate their screens properly when I made my original post, mine certainly has been, with a stylus too!

Just want to second ADW launcher for 1.6, its so easy to drag down the status bar. I also like the way the app drawer opens, looks realy cool.

sorry i should have explained that i calibrated it slightly lower because when i calibrated it properly, it was still completely hit or miss as to whether it would drag down or not.
