downloading from browser sketchy

Hi all,

For some reason my downloads from the browser havent been working as desired.

If I try to download anything from within the web based gmail I get "download unsuccessful". Same thing happened to me both within the dropbox app, as well as the web based version of dropbox (which both used to work just fine). I also used to be able to download from megaupload, but that too, is failing.

The only thing that has downloaded properly for me as of late was the gmail 2.3 apk file Paul posted.

Any idea what could be causing this? At first I thought it was downloading from https, but megaupload is regular http.

On a side note, https connections load VERY slow for me. Am I the only one, or is this common?

Any help is appreciated!

In case anyone else has eexperienced the same problem, I managed to fis it by going into the apn settings for my carrier and deleting the ip address of the proxy. Seems it was my carrier's proxy that caused all this grief!
