Guest nickp82 Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 2.06 At least Dell is making progress. http://opensource.dell.com/releases/streak/ This looks very promising for future custom kitchens and ROMs like an MDC or CM port  Looks like Dell at getting their act together! They need to realise that the moment they release a ROM without the source, they're breaking the law!
Guest irenic Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 eh that one is eclair? i thought it is Donut..
Guest Stephen Davidson Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 The 1.12 is donut and 2.06 is éclair. We're testing it now, trying to get it to build.
Guest cowballz Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Nice! !!!! Will this work with o2 2.1? ?
Guest sukh singh Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 Nice! !!!! Will this work with o2 2.1? ? its a source not a build...
Guest jmhalder Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 I'm starting to like Dell more and more, I'd take a CM5 build with broken camera/BT/WIFI/etc over the O2 Dell build... this is GREAT news!
Guest cowballz Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 its a source not a build... I know
Guest Phylar Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 I know No, you don't. The eclair kernel source is what's used to create the O2 2.1 ROM, so you're question of "can I use with..." makes no sense. It's OK if you don't understand something, just don't pretend to know please. If we can replace the lame notification bar, and up the headphone out volume, I will be a very happy camper.
Guest popetodd Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 (edited) I like the notification bar, what I want it louder headphones and the old keyboard. Oh, and 2.2. Definitely 2.2. I wonder if the driver sources in 2.06 will drop in to a 2.2 source build... Edited September 24, 2010 by popetodd
Guest cowballz Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 sorry i was thinking once someone builds it if we can use it in place of the one we already have on our phones if it does new things, with my samsung galaxy i flash diffrent kernals with the same rom for over clocking and some do faster upload speeds,i thought a source means it needs to be built inorder to use it, or u have the option to customize it to your liking,
