with the info released from dell, is there any way we can get our BCM4325 chip into monitor mode? I figured by now we would have some light shed on this helpful bit :lol:

I don't know if it works, but there is Shark for Root in the market place - depends what you mean by monitor mode (promiscuous mode?)

no wireshark and shark captures tcp and udp packets, not wireless bits. to crack wep or wpa, you need the layer 1 data, wireshark captures at layer 3.

also, aircrack does not use monitor mode, what you mean is does airmon-ng work, and the answer is no. very few broadcom wifi chips work in monitor mode and i dont think any devs on here would spend so many hours to try and get monitor mode going.
