Guest Paul Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Welcome to 'Paul's App of the Day', where I pick one of my favourite apps as featured app of the day! Today's app is... AndFTP What they sayAndFTP is a FTP, FTPS and SFTP client. It can manage several FTP configurations. It comes with both device and FTP file browser. It provides download, upload and share features with resume support. It can open, rename, delete, cut/copy/paste and more. SSH RSA/DSA keys support. Intents are available for other applications. What we say An extremely accomplished FTP / SFTP / FTPS client. Coupled with Connectbot, I have all my remote server management needs covered. Permissions INTERNET / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE Download View at AppBrain Direct Market Link (for on device)View on Android Market QRcode To use, install 'Barcode Scanner' from the Android Market. Price FREE Market star rating at time of writing 4.56 (4746 ratings) Version at time of writing 1.9 Similar / Alternative apps n/a Suggested improvements for the next version The UI could do with a lit bit of polish and some more consistency with standard Android UI, but it's a great app nonetheless! Have your say Fan of AndFTP? Found something better? Just wanna share your experiences? Post below! B)
Guest toxic-hero Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 (edited) very good indeed! PaderSyncFM is another good one. (not free) Edited September 25, 2010 by toxic-hero
Guest Pjotr B Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 The Market link is wrong, it includes the AppBrain.com domain! I noticed because in the App on my phone, the button View in Market won't open it correctly. Please repair, and I hope such a repair will also show up in the App-of-the-Day app. If not, then maybe it's time for a new App-of-the-Day app version :-) Speaking of new versions: could you please implement an "auto start" option for the App? I'd like to see it daily, even when I don't think of starting the App myself. Thanks, Pjotr
Guest FatherD Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Similar / Alternative apps n/a Swiftp!? I believe it is at least similar, has always done a great job and is free
Guest logicalextreme Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 This has always worked great with DSA/RSA SFTP for me. Especially handy if I want to start a torrent at home and haven't got the connection speed to VNC -- I just grab the torrent file directly from the net onto the phone and upload it to a specific folder to start it off.
