Not sure if Orange Online have stock.

Ordered one but got email asking me to email theirr web sales support team at [email protected] with my order number because "we need to double check some details with you." Suspect they have no stock but have taken the order and money - will let you know.

The website confirmed the order for delivery. However I got the same reply back. wonder what that means ?

I can tell you after ringing customer support that its something to do with a error between the website and their phones/stock database. The customer support person said something along the lines of it hasn't been added to the database yet and that they would get back to me to confirm the order.

I am ordering this for my friend. Got the order confirmation, but then I got the same response by email. Then I called up sales and they said there was no such order number on their system ??

Wonder what is going on ?

Me too - i think these are pre-order - wish their web site would say so and not offer a tuesday delivery!

That said, I'm not sure I need a second one now (I ordered it for some MCR testing stuff) so it might be for sale at cost (i'll post here if so!)

Today I'm very grateful I'm with T-Mobile! And I hardly ever say that with regards to customer service (although the T-MobileUK twitter team are awesome)

Orange CS are appalling. I ordered one got a email saying I had to contact the orange CS to complete the order. which I did, and they tried to flog me a contract with it (Half an hour before I could get them to "confirm" it) I got a email half an hour later identical to the first one with a different order number and still no-confirmation of anything! :S

The orange sale team is quite a bunch ! Spoke to three different people in the last 2 hours. The first one told me that he had no such order on the system and asked me to put another order. The second one told me that both the orders had been cancelled and that now he can't do anything about it so I should put in a new order. The third one told me that why the hell was I putting down so many orders. He will just get his manager to process the first order and cancel the reminder ones !!!..

Thats a good 2 hours of my life wasted :lol:

Did they spend a good 20 minutes trying to sell you a £25 a month deal before you could get onto fixing the actual order too? And I thought T-mo where bad...

Yes, they tried doing that too !!. Also the third guy I spoke to was really very rude. There is more to this story. His manager never called me. So I had to call the fourth time, and the entire cycle of lies/incompetence started again. I had to remind him the whole story before he called his manager and finally everything got fixed !!

I've just bought another phone for my wife - she is incredibly impressed with mine. However, I was considerably less impressed with the guy on the telesales line who put the phone down on me when I wouldn't buy home broadband. So, I won't feel bad about buying online, the NUS discount, cashback maybe, and moving away from Orange asap.
