Guest Modmedia Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Just incase anyone was thinking of trying GBA emulation, don't bother. I enjoyed it from my HTC Desire, but the processor in the San Francisco isn't up to it and it's rather jerky. Oh well! I'm going to try some SNES stuff, should be less CPU intensive.
Guest Willz Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 That's a shame. It was never TOO bad on the Pulse, just needed MT. What about the GBCoid, how does that run? I'd like to play Mario, but kind of need MT again.

Guest Modmedia Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Multitouch - the pulse doesn't have full MT working - yet... Ahh cheers. If it was good on the pulse it should be good on the SF I would have thought or is the Pulse a better processor?
Guest tomjo7 Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 (edited) Ahh cheers. If it was good on the pulse it should be good on the SF I would have thought or is the Pulse a better processor? I suppose it depends what games you play on it. If you play a game that is quite basic it should run fine, but a more technical/fast paced game will always run a bit slower on lower spec phones. I haven't got a san fran (yet) so I haven't been able to compare. If anyone else has both can you run neocore on both phones using stock 2.1? The multitouch may also slow it down a little, as the phone has to use a little bit extra picking up more than one finger, but like I say this should only be by a fraction. Guest Modmedia Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Pokemon Fire and Super Marion I tried but both were poor and run fine on my Desire. But then again it's unfair to compare a Blade to a Desire lol!
Guest Modmedia Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) UPDATE: After trying SNES and even NES and it still being jerky I knew something wasn't right so I messed about with settings. I changed 'scaling' from 'scaled' to '2x' and omg it works perfectly. GBA games which were jerky now almost 100% perfect and almost certainly very playable. That scaled mode filled the screen but left it at an unplayavle frame rate. 2x mode leaves it a comfortae size and great frame rate. Just a wee tip for anyone facing the same problems as me! This wee phone keeps getting better and better! Excuse all the typos doing this on my IP4 Edited September 27, 2010 by Modmedia
