Hello all

I'm an ex pulse owner , moved over to a nokia 5230 after the pulse's untimely demise ( dropped it on the floor and cracked the screen B) ) , but the 5230 has to be one of the slowest phones i've ever used , the symbian os hasn't evolved much since i had a nokia N73 all those years ago .

Now i'm really starting to like this phone already , but just wondered has anyone been able to watch any youtube videos on it ? does it have flash support for the likes of youtube or am i asking too much of it .

And slightly off topic , whats the batter life like , is it the same as the pulse was ?

If it can do youtube i'll be done that orange shop 1st thing in the morning , bet theywon't have any in stock either lol

As far as I'm aware it will not support full flash content as it has not got Froyo yet or an ARM7 chip. Although it may be able to support flash lite.

Regarding youtube, the app for youtube should work fine.

saying that , i better make a list of the shops within 20 miles so i can head straight to the next one when they tell me " sorry mate we got none in stock " lol

I presume they all open at around 9 in the morning like most others. If you do go though and they don't have any, see if they can check nearby stores for you and reserve one - should save you going about 7 different shops before you find one that has some in stock.

Thanks tom , i'll give it a go and report back tomorrow

If you wanna watch other types of flash video Eg. live streams from Justin.tv for example then download Skyfire 'beta' web browser, it tells you when there's a flash video you can watch and it plays it full screen from the press of a button. Very handy!
