Guest blackmath Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) At the same resolution of Nexus One and HTC Desire (i.e. first generation snapdragon phones) this phone seems to do better. Food for thought! What is the gpu in the MSM7227 SoC? http://www.qualcomm.com/news/releases/2009...nce-chipset-sup Edited September 27, 2010 by blackmath
Guest badboy165 Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 According to the desire and nexus get a 26.5 fps...so the san francisco is better in terms of 3d graphics? sure that can't be right?

Guest mannybianco Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) As far as I know both the Snapdragon QSD8250 SoC (Nexus One, Desire, X10 etc) and the MSM7227 SoC packs the same Adreno 200 GPU. The Neocore 3D benchmark was supposedly developed to show off the capabilities of the MSM72xx platform, so I guess the difference in end score could be all down to optimization. Cool. I was hoping it wasn't down to optimisations. Anyone got Quadrant pro? Need to compare the gpu scores.
Guest Teasy Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 (edited) I noticed a NeoCore benchmark on a website on a T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Slide (same Qualcomm MSM7227 Soc as ZTE Blade). It scored 31.2fps, over 9 frames per second slower then the Blade and that's with the benchmark running at a lower res on the Slide. Looking around on Google that score seems to be the norm, I wonder why the Blade would score higher while rendering more pixels when its using the same CPU/GPU at the same speed? Better ram?
