Receiveing SMS while talking

Hi,

I don't know if this is because of the Modaco ROM or not but when i receive an SMS or MMS while talking on the phone I get the notification tone played (load) into my ear which is pretty annoying. Can I somehow turn of the SMS/MMS tone while on the phone? It is really annoying to get a loud "PLING" when holding the phone to the ear. I didn't have this problem on my HTC Hero (w/Modaco ROM).

I can confirm, I do have the same issue with MCR, and I did not have this issue with Stock. Even when talking via Handsfree in my car, I get the notification via Handsfree, pretty loud...

Use chomp you can change the way you get notified of sms when in call.

I have this exact same problem with modoco r8 rom. I would like a fix as its very annoying, you can guarantee nearly every time I’m on a phone call, someone will txt me and then I can’t hear a word the person is saying that I’m talking too..

Haha I was just about to post saying "me too", but I use chomp and thanks to you I've disabled the ringtone and vibration! :lol:

Handcent SMS also allows to adjust notifications while on call versus the rest of the time :-)

Thats very disappointing (HTC wise) I would have expected this to be an easy fix. I will try Handcent and see how it goes. Thanks for all your suggestions. :)

I've this 'issue' on stock 2.10.405.2, altho I don't find it a problem
