Hi There,

I'm new to whole android phone thing and need some help.

I recently purchased my phone and it asked me to do an update Froyo 2.2. It worked and failed basically going into a boot loop, wireless error and SD card cannot be read (from the phone OS) . And PC cannot detect the USB device (win 7 x64). (I haven't tried unrevoked USB drivers yet)

I was able to find another froyo ROM, created the update.zip and installed it, but to no avail.

I am wondering if can can load another ROM onto the phone and see if it will fix things. I have no idea what I am doing. I don't believe the phone is rooted.I'd really appreciate help from users / experts as to what I can do from here in order to restore some functionality on the phone. Many thanks in advance. Here are the Specs:

Hello,

I used this ROM http://www.geekword.net/manually-install-froyo-htc-desire/

I have not rooted the phone. The phone is unlocked and unbranded

Thank you.

No wonder it does´t work, check out this: http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-desi...d-b0rked-fixed/ how to solve it..

Do you have HTC Sync installed with USB drivers, if not, download it and install.

And here is a couple of official untuched desire roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
