Guest Holograph Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) Hi! I'm using the app Gameboid to play Pokemon Emerald on my Pulse, but it seems not to work very well. It struggels, and it skips alot of frames (when I set frame skipping to 0, it the game goes very slow). Is it so hard too emulate an 16,8 MHz, cpu, or is there something wrong in the config? Say what? And it won't work too well anyway, we have no multitouch, and no GPU (I think, either that or no GPU in Froyo...) You chose the wrong device for emulation.

Someone over at the ZTE Blade said that it struggled to emulate. But when "Scaling" was set down to ?2x? it played fine.. Otherwise it maybe related to the camera / video problems, or perhaps entirely unrelated
Guest eckengucker1 Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 You could try it again with the oc kernel, 1.5ghz and a water/nitrogen cooled pulse. Maybe it works... Why don't you just a a real gameboy?

Guest eckengucker1 Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) Maybe it works? You can cool every computer with water why not a phone? I did it already with many of my desktop cpus, hds and gpus. If I had another phone for daily usage I would try it... It really sucks that I can't buy the Blade in germany... Oh yes I could but for 150€... I guess with an active air cooling with e.g. a 80mm fan we could easly reach the 800mhz. The physical border would be reached around 900-1100mhz I think Edited September 27, 2010 by eckengucker1
Guest boko1008 Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) gameboid works just fine on my U8230... maybe the game you're trying to emulate is not supported by the emulator... and about multitouch, gameboys have only 2 buttons, so you can map these to physical buttons on your device and just use the directional on the screen... EDIT - I just tested pokemon emerald with gameboid and it works just fine... Edited September 27, 2010 by boko1008
Guest D-D- Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Works fine on 2.1 I guess it's a 2.2 thing.
Guest boko1008 Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 i'm using FLB-2... still works alright...

I dont know about that, we also have 5 buttons to use...
