Guest Keithoms Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Hey all! Loving this forum. Got a slight issue with the order of my SF. I purchased online with the collect from store option with my debit card. I received my confirmation email. The instructions on that say to bring to store: The email The card used and: "You'll also need to bring along one of the following forms of identification:" UK full or provisional driving licence ( with paper counter part) utility bill such as your water, gas or electricity statement, a BT/cable landline telephone bill, a council tax invoice or Sky statement credit card statement bank or building society statement The thing is, im 16. No privvy licence for a year, no utility bills as i do not pay them. I throw out my bank statements the day i read them and have no other statements. What can I do about this? Do they care if I use a bill addressed to my parents (like our virgin bill)? It has my surname on it. Thanks in advance for all advice.

Just explain the situation to them they'll be cool about it, I'm sure. If not, go to the bank and ask them to print you off a statement?

Sounds like a plan if nothing else works, the bank is in the same complex so I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem.

The problem is though, I don't think the bank would do that for you if you have no proof of ID! Worth a try though, but if all else fails - get one of you're parents to buy it!

Guest Modmedia Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Yup, card will be fine to get a statement. Good luck on getting it, you wont regret it.
Guest daniel_owen_uk Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Orange store I went to didn't ask for proof of address at all (although photocopied my payslip for NHS discount). That said I specifically asked them if I needed any ID to pick the PAYG phone up and the woman said "no". So you could be ok, I never showed any photo ID.
