Guest becksy6 Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 I have wrote to LG Support and It has been comfirmed that this update is not official and will void your warrenty if you break your phone doing it. LG Updates will come through an OVER THE AIR update not a computer update.

Sure they do...that's why all their previous GT540 1.6 updates have been done on a pc, with software(like LG updater) and downloading updates from their servers... And even official updates have bricked peoples phones...

Id like to know where you got your info from LG saying you have to do an 'Over The Air' update on the GT540 when LG has dissabled it!! Good one, Not! Lol

Good one, Not! Lol B) True, as not 1 single person has said they had to do an OTA update. I can't see it happening - o2's data lines would be in meltdown, and peoples monthly limits for calls/data, would be mad. maybe if this was HTC, then yeah..but 2.1 is an official update, as it comes from the official site.. Edited September 29, 2010 by RottenFoxBreath
