I would also like to know how the audio quality is.

As far as I see it, buy an MP3 player for MP3s.

I carry around my ancient Zen Vision M, along with my phone, the sound quality is so much better, so much louder.

(don't have my san fran yet, but my point is the same)

Yeah that's what I carry around, it's a huge clunk of junk tbh. It's just to brick like and has such a small screen. I plan to bury my ZVM and start using SF as my media player.

This is my view also, and would like to know what the SF is like, with something like Lithium Music Player? It should be a basic requirement now to have a phone/MP3 Player surely

It is too quiet to use as a music player IMHO. If you are outdoors you'll not hear much. It's a well-known bug affecting many phones running Android 2.1 & earlier. Check this thread here to find out about ways to modify the settings. Once you've sussed it out can you explain it to me?

Interesting.

For past year i have been using my Nokia N85 as music player.

It has decent sound quaity but is bit too quiet too.

Now few days ago i tested HTC Desire with stock Android 2.1 ROM and was blown away how much louder Desire was than my N85 with same headphones.

Is Desire noticaby louder than Blade/San Francisco?

I assume i cant expect same audio quality from Blade as Desire, but if its ok enough for the price i would go for it...

Doesn't work on 2.1, I tested it a few days ago.
