Guest mark2410 Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 is anyone else having trouble with bluetooth? i can get the blade to pair but thats all it will do and just there it seemed to have a hugely detrimental effect on wifi to the point of kicking it off. is anyone else finding bluetooth useless?

Yeah, I had this last night. Pairing with a headset caused wifi to drop requiring a reboot to fix :-(
Guest mark2410 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 can anyone get it to recieve a file over bluetooth? it wont give me the option to trust any devices
Guest zuccster Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 can anyone get it to recieve a file over bluetooth? it wont give me the option to trust any devices Worked OK here. I put the SF into discoverable mode, started the pairing from Ubuntu, and transfered files successfully.
Guest mark2410 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 my san fran doesnt give me the option to trust any device and doesnt ask if it should accept a file. i did notice that one file had worked however but why it did i dont know
Guest Borderland Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I'm finding that a2dp isn't the best, as it just breaks up now and again. Almost usable with wi-fi off, but still poor compared to my HTC/winmo device.
Guest mark2410 Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 hmm today bluetooth seems to work fine
Guest mark2410 Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 does anyone know what bluetooth profiles the blade supports? it pairs but wont let me do anything else with my watch. they wont connect and the blade doesnt give me the option to do anything but unpair it, its the same for everything else its really beginning to annoy me
Guest tdodd Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 I've had no problem pairing with my Windows 7 laptop and sending .wav and .mp3 files to the phone over Bluetooth. I have not noticed an issue with Wifi while using Bluetooth, which is not to say it doesn't exist, but when I'm transfering files over Bluetooth it's not like I need Wifi to be doing anything at the same time. Once I finished with Bluetooth transfers I turned it off. No apparent ill effects afterwards. I'm running the stock Orange ROM with the Orange apps removed.
Guest mark2410 Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 i can send things from other devices but the san fran cant initiate anything, what i need is to be able on the san fran to establish a connection. thats it. but when i hold select the paired device the only option it gives me it to unpair it. the old pulse gave tho option to trust it, unpair it or connect to it. how can i get these options back as for me its a really major problem im now on r3, didnt work on r2 either
Guest yee_har Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 (edited) does anyone know what bluetooth profiles the blade supports? it pairs but wont let me do anything else with my watch. they wont connect and the blade doesnt give me the option to do anything but unpair it, its the same for everything else its really beginning to annoy me I'm unlocked but otherwise unmodded (for now). The only Bluetooth "service" shown for the S.F. in my Bluesoleil program is "BT Object Push". By comparison our Nokia 6300 seems to support "BT Personal Area Network"; "BT Dial up networking"; "BT Serial Port"; "BT File Transfer"...and our v1415 seems to support "BT Personal Area Network"; "BT File Transfer"....both in addition to "BT Object Push". I appreciate these are different OS and this is not a criticism of the S.F. - just what I noticed when I fired up Bluesoleil. (Hope this is relevant and that I'm not addressing a different question!) Guest mark2410 Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 i dont think thats really it, my pulse shows no more on bluesoliel it that for some reason the ui on the sf doesnt offer the option to initiate a connection. just to establish a connection i mean and its getting incredibly frustrating
