Bootloop

Dear All!

I am a proud owner of the lovely pulse for some weeks now and today i decided to finally get some root rights and start playing! B)

Unfortunately, after starting the "install-superboot.bat" i didnt get the line on the screen that says "writing boot (19xxxxbytes) - OK" and therefore i stopped trying, disconnected the phone and removed the battery.

But now my problem is, every time i want to boot the pulse it just gets stuck in an odd bootloop..

From what i have read i think this is not the end of the world and not the end of my phone, but as a total newbie i would be very happy, if someone could help me and tell me what to do now or point mo to the right topic

Is there a way to get my old 2.1(uk) back on the phone via bootloader?? i still have the zip somewhere on my pc...

I am really sorry to start such an annoying topic, but i just don´t know what to do.

(I was also hoping my FIRST post here in this forum would be something less noobish... B) )

Thank you guys in advance!

cheers, m

Basicly you need to put the official 2.1 update on your phone again and install that, and then look on the forum to find out how to root it. (I would suggest installing a custom ROM)

I believe that in the topic for the superboot img it says its not for 2.1...

Just put the dload folder in the SD card, then shutdown the phone and turn it on while pressing End call and volume down keys at the same time.

That will install UK 2.1 again.

The problem was probably caused because the superboot image is just for android 1.5.

To root your phone, the easiest way is to install a custom rom.

See the ultimate pulse owner's guide (sticky) to learn how to do that.

Sorry, I made a mistake, the key combination to re-install the UK 2.1 is POWER + END CALL + VOLUME UP.

After this important lesson for me i´m now running Flb 1.7oc and getting used to all this before i start enabling swap and stuff...

By the way i have to say, that this whole community is really just great and one of the main reasons why i decided to buy the pulse!

Keep up the great work here guys and PLEASE do not forget to develop for our lovely pulse, just because of this new and attractive bladething..

Best Regards! m
