Guest nferro Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 This is my reply to a thread on XDA, I don't remember seeing this problem reported in Modaco and since this is something that isn't all that unusual I felt like sharing it with you. Yesterday I received a call and I couldn't ear anything, then I tried to callback (thinking it was a network problem) and I still couldn't ear anything. I used the loudspeaker and it was working, also plugged my headphones and I could ear the other party. I then called Acer complaining, they told me the phone needed to be repaired (the quickness on the response made me think this is somehow usual), that I should put it in a box with the RMA code written on it and that they would send me DHL to pick it up. Today DHL picked the phone, so far everything as been dealt really fast and I can't anyhow complain on Acer support, lets just see how long it will take till I get my phone back.

A lot of other users, including me, have this problem. It is a hardware issue, and the only method of fixing it other than sending it in for repair is to repair it yourself with your speaker, which I highly recommend you don't do.
Guest alezzandro Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Same issue here, I've sent the phone in the first days of September, the Acer's Support is really quick, returned it to me in few days! don't worry! send it! :-)

Guest spraoi Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Happened to me this week too. Thought it was a ROM issue. Appears not. Damn it, going to feel lost without it for a few days.
Guest nferro Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) Just to say that I received my phone last friday. It came with a report in spanish (which I had to write on Google translate to understand) saying that didn't do anything because it was bad usage... Still the call speaker is now working. Oh, and they had changed the firmware to some 1.6 version... Edited October 11, 2010 by nferro
