According to Mr Dunham over on his site he spotted this tweet apparently from a Dell employee in Texas.

Speculate away...

I wonder if its for o2 or the unlock streak....or both

Seems to be coming out of Dell in the US so I doubt if it has anything to do with o2 here. Tantalizing!

Oh I'm really hoping they have removed 30fps!!

That would make my life complete, until I find something else utterly useless to bang on about repeatedly

You keep going on about this 30fps limit, but what does it actually mean? I watch films and play games and they look fine to me. Could you elaborate

The 30fps on the Evo was forced in order for the HDMI out via the HDMI doc to work properly. Anything higher than 30 and it bricked somethingorother. I don't think they should remove it, just allow us to turn it off (or code it so the docking fails unless the device is set to 30fps)

You know what I would like? A camera app that let's me use my freaking FFC. That and some bug fixes for things like the touch screen. I could give a s*** about a 30fps fix.

That would be pretty awesome, though.

Hi vinokirk I havent actually posted about the 30fps before, but thought I should mention it as it seems to get into every post both here and on XDA B)

Apparently this is meant to improve performance but as mentioned by maskaler it can be quite dangerous 0_o

Dont think this is needed due to the totally awesome hardware the streak has anyway [pitty about the crappy firmware]

Anyways, back on topic now B) what does the tweet say?

Just say's "#dellstreak build 8848 is in full effect!"

i think we might be eventually gathering some pace on the software side of things. Steve's doing a great job on Froyo 2.2 CM6 and with other rumours going around, all thats is needed is some patience.

A lot of god dam bloody patience....

Unfortunately he also said in another tweet that it's an eclair build, and as they have said they are skipping 2.1 in the US that means it's probably for the borked O2 update.

Who knows

Good point. And one that's confirmed (O2 update): http://twitter.com/#!/SirJofHoss/status/26088475232
