Guest tik Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Sorry for what may seem a stupid question (why would anyone want to use Activesync if they didn't have to?). But work are pretty strict on what software can be installed on their PCs. I'd like to find a way of syncing outlook (calendar only) with my san fran (I've decided at last to upgrade from a 4 year old HTC Excalibur). The work pc has activesync 4.1 on it - fine for the Excalibur running WM5, but kind of ancient now. Does anyone have any ideas for a fix please, bearing in mind it's unlikely I'll be able to install anything on the work PC? Or is this asking the impossible?
Guest ozochain Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 If your work uses Microsoft Exchange for their services, and offers outlook web access, Android does support contact/email/calendar syncing.
Guest Emexrulsier Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 If your work uses Microsoft Exchange for their services, and offers outlook web access, Android does support contact/email/calendar syncing. Just because Exchange might have OWA enable does not necessarily mean you have remote access from mobile phones. You need working OABs, autodiscover, Exchange-Activesync etc all want to be configured correctly to enable you to sync your mail clients.
