Welcome to the forum!

What do you need the driver for?

I may upload you for it, but you should know first that MT isn't working with our Pulses / U8220s.

Best regards,

BB

After updating 2.1 you lost multitouch? IIRC, the T-Mobile Pulse (U8220) never had support for multitouch.

And please, don't post like you are demanding something from this community.

Actually it does not support MT.

If you still want it I'll upload it for you. You'll need to know how to compile the kernel (2.6.29).

I've a similar problem. After upgrading to 2.1 my 3D mod isn't working anymore. Any solutions?

Hi, very latter to reply your answer, I'm sorry.

The multitouch function need the touchscreen device to support it . Frist you need to check the factory name of your phone lens.

Input the *#*#2846579#*#* in dial, and enter the project menu->Veneer information query->2.Apparatus type query. Notic the first one---Touch screen type. If it is Synaptics touchscreen, the multitouch and gestures is not supported. But if not, the fuction can be supported.

And the open source file we send to TMO of Britain. I am very sorry to misadvise you.

Best wishes.

Do you know how to compile a kernel? Otherwise you won't know what to do with the MT supporting driver

Best regards,

BB

So MT won't work even if you flash an MT enabled kernel.

Do you still want it?

I can't be sure if this guy's serious, his phone is listed as a Galaxy S.

@lucktatait

From what I know MT never worked on TMo Pulse - Huawei U8220 out of the box (or at least my box) and you'll have to go through a series of complicated procedures to even try to get it to work.

Also, I would ask BigBear (nicely) and not demand him to explain stuff.

You should put your phone on a table and work around it. Thats the 3D mod ^^

Hi,

I have a pulse, too, and I was able to use multitouch with one program (Imagine Multi-Touch --> a picture viewer) as long as I had Android 1.5.

Now I have 2.1 with FLB 1.7 and it doesn't work anymore!

I tried the *#*#2846579#*#*, but opening the 'Project Menu' results in a 'Process com.android.settings' error and FC

Is there now any way to get MT back?

kind regards

That was not real MT, that was based on a pretty clever principle: If you put two fingers on the screen the phone sets the value for the variable "finger" to "2". Further if you put two fingers in the screen the value of the variable "size" will increase. If you now move your fingers you will change the size value, and as "finger" stays at "2" the application knows that you're trying to pinch and zoom. That's pretty old actually.

Is this a good enough workaround that we could use it for other apps too or is it not very good to use?
