Returning to Factory state

Still cant get my wi-fi to work, just is'nt picking up any networks. However i will need to return to the stock rom

Presume its the same process as putting the custom rom on but instead putting stock rom on

However will I need to de-route? the phone

Sorry if some of what i have said doesnt make sense I'm new new Android so not 100% sure what I'm talking about.
