Guest 325i Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 I currently have a HTC desire with the Modaco R8 ROM and its fantastic. So now im looking to get a budget android phone as a present for someone. Most likely it will be the san francisco as it seems better than the wildfire. One question, will the SF get A2SD+ on the modaco ROM or even better, will there be kitchen soon? the reason im asking, is that the standard internal memory is not enough. You can get low memory warnings only after a few apps.
Guest 325i Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Quick reply Paul, cheers  Any idea on how long? Are we talking days, weeks?
Guest Paul Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Not sure yet, I have a lot happening next week, but it's in progress and DEFINITELY happening! P
Guest 325i Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 (edited) Cheers, ill hold on then and purchase it later. Looking forward to it. Lastly, i presume A2SD+ on the SF will just be as affective as on the Desire? I have over 100 apps installed yet also have 80mb free. Edited October 1, 2010 by 325i
Guest Simon O Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Yeah it'll be as affective as the Desire for sure. Paul is looking to add his own custom A2SD to the MCR ROMs. I'm looking at adding Darktremor A2SD to my own custom ROM which I'll be working on soon.
Guest 325i Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Cheers. Is there anyway of adding a2sd to the mcr rom? Its because I don't want to reset the phone when a2sd becomes available?

Not until Paul does it and releases the update. The boot.img needs unpacking and the a2sd scripts adding. So far I'm unable to rebuild a working boot.img
Guest 325i Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Thanks, hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.

Guest Simon O Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Whats the issue with you rebuilding the boot.img? It seems to build ok but it doesn't boot.
Guest skyhacker Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 It seems to build ok but it doesn't boot. I have the exact same issue, also building a ROM, unpack the boot img right but when packaging doesn't boot at all, if u find a solution please PLEASE share
