Guest jmhalder Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) soooo... its been bothering me how the alarms screen in the included clock app in Dell's build doesn't list alarms chronologically... I previously had a G1 with CM5/6 on it and not only did the alarms setup work better, but it also functioned as a cool clock for your desk or nightstand. DeskClock.apk can be extracted from the CM5.0.8 update.zip file at ./system/app/DeskClock.apk http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/files/file/45...8-n1-signedzip/ *EDIT: this apk is now attached to this post* to install just place the file on your SD card and use package installer by opening it through Astro or any other file manager, click install, and you're done... sort of... you'll probably want to remove the normal alarm clock, even though I'm sure they can co-exist just fine, its a little silly having both installed, run the commands below from a "adb shell" instance, or from a terminal emulator on the phone. su mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock6 /system rm /system/app/AlarmClock* I hope a few of you find this useful, I can't believe I've waited this long to install this.DeskClock.zip Edited October 2, 2010 by jmhalder

Guest miker71 Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 thanks for the tip. a clock that can definitely co-exist with the Dell clock is "Night Clock" - i've been using it since before i was rooted. it manages its own alarms too. i don't know what happens if you try setting alarms in each app since they appear to be able to see each others alarms - i don't go there and just stick exclusively to Night Clock which has never failed me. http://www.appbrain.com/app/night-clock/co...hfox.nightclock

Guest Jason Burns Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I also missed the nexus one alarm clock. But it's too late for me, i purchased alarm clock plus in the market. It seems to be identical to it.
