Guest orangephone Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I have two of these phones, one in my house, the other by my friend. Okay so when they put the phone on the phone worked perfectly. Did quite a lot of customising etc. then put the phone on charge. However, using the mains, the phone didn't charge. Using the computer lead, the phone didn't charge. It says charging etc. or connect to charger but it does't actually charge. It was stuck at 1% and then died. So I'm thinking it's either one of two things: 1) The battery is faulty (it heats up a lot after trying to charge it) 2) The lead is faulty? Or it could be the phone. Seems it's neither but I'm guessing here. Anyway so I called Orange yesterday and the guy says he's arranged to get a new one for me. The delivery man came today but he only had the phone in his hand! And of course I didn't have the other phone so couldn't give it, but I didn't need it anyway, I needed the whole package. Arranging for a battery instead to see if that solves the problem but can anyone guess what it is? If I had the phone with me now I could check it with mine but I guess I've learnt a lesson for next time.
