Guest Trappedin80's Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 Okay, I've had it since tuesday and the screen is a greasy, fingerprinted mess. Does anyone no a good, safe way to clean it? What type of cloth etc. Thank's.
Guest Rem1x Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I just use my T-Shirt, seems to work fine! But as with all screens a micro fiber cloth is probably best.

Guest sensory Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 I use the same cloth that came with my glasses - works great. The screen does get very greasy, but I can only see the streaks in bright light which is better than some phones out there. All in all the screen on the SF is amazing.

Guest klx Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Micro Fibre cloths are sold in stores. You know, like grocery store where they sell milk and bread. Edited January 11, 2011 by klx

Guest kenofstephen Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 this kit should be good enough for many of us~ :D
Guest wbaw Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I use some tft monitor screen cleaning fluid on a microfibre cloth. Any supermarket, poundland, or anywhere like that will have microfibre cloths in a pack of 3 for a pound. A bottle of tft screen cleaning fluid cost me about £3 online, years ago, it cleans all my screens (i've got a few) & i've still got most of it left. You might even find a small bottle in poundland, asda & tesco probably sell it too. The screen cleaning fluid shifts all the grease straight away with no effort, leaves it shiny & new looking.
Guest RussellS Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I just use my T-Shirt, seems to work fine! Perhaps you could rent your T-shirt out and we can all use it :D

Guest wolverine73 Posted February 20, 2011 Report Posted February 20, 2011 The same way i clean me glasses - breathe on the screen and wipe with either a cotton t shirt, or kitchen towel. Note - Wool Jumpers should not be used for cleaning duties - unless you love the 'streaky' look.........

I do the same thing - realised I had loads of cloths lying about in old glasses cases, whipped one out and started using it. Sometimes you still get the old streak - I tend to rub in small circles to reduce the effect.

Guest Konstipated Kiwi Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 +1 same here! As with others above, I use TFT screen cleaning fluid and a microfibre cloth for stubborn greasiness. The ones for glasses are fine, but 'magic' cloths sold in Homebase and the like are great as well.
Guest BritishBob Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 I use the Muc-Off screen cleaing kit. u can get it for £3-£7. U get a massive cloth, so no need to reuse the same small area over and over, and you also get a bottle of degreaser/anti-bacteria spray. No complaints it does what it says on the tin, and will probably last me at least 2 years. XD
