All 3 froyo leaks so far works with liquidmkbootimg, but not this 4.002.02_EMEA-GEN1_05.01.04. Please confirm. dammit!

Is it because of the new SObaseband A1-05.01.04!

Works, I've used it without problems

Baseband has nothing to boot.img

At least when it boots up it does not go to bootloader mode, but loops at the very beginning. So I'll try it again and again. Thanks for the confirmation.

what is liquidmkbootimg?

Forget all ROMs and such, liquidimkbootimg is where the juice is. I'll tell you everything about it, if i can only make it to work in this new leak.

it's a common error... just try with "--deploy 0", "--deploy 1" or "--deploy 2". one of theme will work

hehe... I got an older version of liquidmkbootimg, and I had to be Italian to verify I had the correct version.

I also took out --cmdline 'panic=10 no_console_suspend=1 console=null'

My working line so far:

liquidmkbootimg --kernel 3boot.img-kernel.gz --ramdisk ramdisk-temp.cpio.gz --deploy 1 -o modded-boot.img

Thank you thankyou very much. Now it's working. Someone please place a sticky on this subject.

liquidmkbootimg.0.2.tar.gz

As promised ...

See: How to unpack, edit and repack boot image

However disc0's liquidmkbootimg is the only correct packer to bring a modified boot image back to Acer Liquid e. You should know, it is the most essential part as there belongs the kernel and boot init stage init.rc. So we won't have OCs or home cooked apps2sd without liquidmkbootimg.

I have actually handled apps2SD in Froyo on the init stage, as compared to Malez's that handles it in recovery stage, but also needs some tweaking in the init stage. I may share it a bit later.

I am a software tweaky guy, not hardware and can't understand git, so I can't still compile a proper kernel to build an OC. But if I do at some point better make sure liquidmkbootimg is on my side.

good luck, and thanks to everyone again
