Problem with Custom Rom

I buy my Pulse From Meditel ( I'm from morroco ) So i have Android 2.1 and I want to root it at least or Install custom rom so i can use A2SD and SWAP but when I want to do the instalation I followed All the steps properly and he don't want to start the instalation and i have a screen with upgrade aborted Is there any one know how to get throw this problem or juste how to root my device ? Please.

Have you reffered to the ultimate pulse owners guide in the stickey? It will tell you everything you need to know.

What ROM are you trying to flash and how?

Yes I reffered to the ultimate pulse owners guide and I followed all the steps ( I'm very sure about that ) and my rom is the original Rom of my country Operator ... ( Morocco, Meditel )

You said you upgraded to 2.1.. I thought you were trying to flash a custom ROM. What version is the ROM your trying to update to now?

I said i'm on 2.1 stock rom ( original one that comes with the phone ) and now i want to install a custom rom like flb mod

Which custom ROM and version are you trying to use? What recovery are you using? If your not already I suggest you use clockwork mod.

Is your phone a U8220 or is it a different model?

FLB MOD 1 ( The last One ) 1.7 oc with the overclock and i'm using "Custom Recover Image" and My phone Is a U8220 i'm sure.

Is it amonra or clockwork. If its amonra (which I think it is) use clockwork as it has more features and you can flash unsigned zips (I think this may be the problem)

I just Used Clockwork and when I do Choose zip from Sdcard and i choose the .zip ( the rom ) i have a screen with install .zip

and i Have this :

Installing : SDCARD:flbmod_1.7oc.zop

Fo,do,g update package...

Opening update package...

Verifying update package...

E:signature verification failed

Installation aborted.

What should I do ?

I just Used Clockwork and when I do Choose zip from Sdcard and i choose the .zip ( the rom ) i have a screen with install .zip

and i Have this :

Installing : SDCARD:flbmod_1.7oc.zop

Fo,do,g update package...

Opening update package...

Verifying update package...

E:signature verification failed

Installation aborted.

What should I do ?

Try turning off signiture varification

I got the same problem. Did turning off the signature verification work?
