Guest lilim_ac Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 Can anyone please test and tell me the scores of Neocore, Linpack, and Quadrant score? You can download program from the market named linpack for android to test linpack score and quadrant for testing quadrant score. I want to know the capabilities of handling 3d games and so on..
Guest lilim_ac Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 what 3d games can it play? have you tried gameloft games? are those working in San Fransisco? is it worthed to use San Fransisco (as I already have pulse like you Rem1x)
Guest HannibalChew Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 You can try to check this benchmark database: http://www.flexycore.com/benchmark-database-access.html You will find loads of scores for different phones and ROMs! :)

Guest Cribby Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Hmm... I only get 35 FPS with sound off. Is something wrong with my system? I'm running MoDaCo custom rom r3. I've tried running it directly after killing all other apps and so on. Anyone?

Dude im on sebs404 rom, tried both, but mine seems to run quicker on this rom.... maybe theres a difference in the rom thats causing the diff, mine varies between 38-41
Guest Cribby Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) Ok, might try sebs rom then. Or the new r4 from Paul. It's nothing major but would be nice to get maximum perfomance out of the phone :) Could someone please benchmark with the stock rom? Would be nice with some comparisons between all roms for the SF :) Edited October 14, 2010 by Cribby
Guest jimmy2x2x Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 MoDaCo R4 rom Quadrant standard = 408 Neocore (w sound) = 36fps Neocore (wo sound) = 36.7fps (you tube vid here of another user getting 40.2fps ) Tried rebooting, killing apps etc, nothing seems to have any effect Are benchmarks slower on R4 because it uses hardware acceleration?
Guest Afrodude Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 You should try running the tests with it disabled too. I'd appreciate this in order to get a good direct comparison, as from my experience when its disabled the phone is much more responsive. To disable it you can edit /system/build.prop and change setting debug.sf.hw=0 (need to reboot your phone for it to take effect).

Shouldn't hardware acceleration improve performance in apps or is just in the homescreen and applist and so on?

MoDaCo R4 rom Hardware acceleration disabled: Quadrant standard = 402 Neocore (w sound) 39.4 fps Neocore (wo sound) 40.5 fps Hardware acceleration enabled: Quadrant standard = 408 Neocore (w sound) = 36fps Neocore (wo sound) = 36.7fps EDIT: The home screens seem a little less smooth with acceleration off, but angry birds is a lot smoother... I think I will leave it off for now. I wonder if this setting will have an impact on battery life? Edited October 19, 2010 by jimmy2x2x
Guest Afrodude Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Thanks for that. I find app launching and general usage quicker with the setting disabled. I guess that some apps can call this function anyway when needed. I normally use RootExplorer to edit this file. I notice no difference in battery life.
