Hi everyone. I noticed an error every once in a while that says "no SIM card" and at that time the reception bars drop to none and I can't make or receive any calls. This lasts for only a second or two and happens intermittenly. I don't know what this is attributed to. I changed sim cards and even made one card fatter to make the contacts better. I was just wondering if anyone else have experienced something like that and knows a possible fix?

This happens to me sometimes as well.. no idea what causes it or what would stop it...

Same here.

Just an update: i made the sim card a bit thicker by putting a layer of tape on it. Will report on progress later on. I wonder if there is a log or something that I could check that would tell me if the "no sim card" occurs while i am not looking.

so it seems that making the sim card a bit fatter with something makes a difference. I have not noticed any sim card errors in the past 24 hours. Maybe the slot that holds the sim card does not make good contact with the sim card? Sounds trivial, but it maybe the case.

This will happen to me when I kill all running apps (not everytime I do this, but it is the only thing I can do to reproduce the error) so I'm skeptical that it is the physical contacts on the SIM card.

I'm runing stock ATT 1.6
