Would it be ok if I bought an iphone 3gs screen protector, cut it and fit it on my phone?

it should be okay, but do bear in mind that there is the hole for the home button on the iphone touch screen. Along with the hole for the ear piece.

I'm told that the Samsung i900 protectors will fit a treat and there's even a cut out in the right place for the speaker !!

I've just ordered some from Ebay, might know by the middle of the week. . .

I can confirm i900 omnia ones fit really well, no cutting required, I had one spare from my omnia and it's on my San Francisco now :)

Reason I've opted for an Iphone screen protector is that there are really high quality ones, like PhoneDevil.

+1 for the Omnia screen protectors. They're a great fit.

I got one you cut yourself from phones4u for about £3, was easy to fit although it does not cover whole screen. Anyone know of a sillicon case that fits?

I tried both the Omnia (which is my WinMo phone) and the IPhone ones. The Omnia one is a better fit and i had it on for 2 days but i had a small air bubble underneath which was annoying me so i replaced it with an IPhone one which took a bit of scissor cutting to fit. Don't know if its just perception (since I had now way of empiricially testing it), but the IPhone one does seem a bit more sensitive to the touch, i.e. better in my opinion.

I picked up a couple in Poundland - 2x ipod Touch screen protectors for £1!

Have got it to fit my SF perfectly with the use of a sheet of paper, soft pencil, sharpie marker (to make a template) and some scissors. The only thing to remember is to cut a hole/leave a gap for the speaker.

Cheap as, but I have to say that I find the screen EASIER to use now and a bit more responsive.

Gonna pick up another couple to keep as spares just in case.

How great do they fit? I put a desire screen protector on the SF I had, but I had to cut a little bit on thatone. Any pictures of how the Omnia screen protectors fit?

I tried the 3GS screen protector out by PhoneDevil, it's a really good screen protector, but the shaping of the 3GS and holes just doesn't work on the SF.
