Guest RedSlug Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 (edited) For some reason, it cannot get root access when it runs. Any idea why? All other programs I have tried, that require root, work OK. EDIT: This is on my Dell Streak Edited October 3, 2010 by RedSlug
Guest popetodd Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 (edited) First, did you install busybox? THEN install UniversalAndroot. THEN install and run Titanium Backup. I've restored from Titanium Backup about a dozen times now without problem, so it should work. Keep in mind that you are ONLY restoring your apps and app data and go over the restore list carefully to make sure you are NOT restoring any system apps like Dialer and Maps and the like. Just the stuff YOU installed or it will break and you will need to factory reset and try again. Been there and done that so I talk from experience on that one. Edited October 3, 2010 by popetodd
Guest jmhalder Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 +1, grab "busybox installer" off the android market, works fine on my streak.
Guest kwaaq Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 I've noticed with certain streak firmware versions that Titanium will not detect the streak as rooted, even when it is and su is available. Just another one of those things I've never really bothered with.
