Delay when manually launching recovery

I was hoping getting S-OFF with AlphaRev would stop the bootloader from doing that annoying thing where it comes up with the menu, pauses for a second or two, then briefly flashes up 3 or 4 error messages in green about missing zip files, before returning to the menu and allowing me to select 'RECOVERY'. I assume that has to do with the way unrEVOked was able to allow me to boot into ClockworkMod recovery without being able to flash a recovery ROM?

Anyone know how to stop it doing that? It's annoying. :) Tho admittedly less so now that we have the reboot option in MCR r9.

Can't be changed, it's part of HBOOT. AFAIK, Hboot is looking for those files on your SD Card.

Use Root Booter from the Market, a lot faster than using the power button menus.

It does this on mine too. I don't think we can do anything about it...

Really? I'm sure when I was poking around in there before rooting that it didn't do that.

I don't think I'll worry about getting Root Booter tho, especially since it costs money; yes I know not much, but it's the hastle of it, and MCR has a reboot option when you hold down the power button. I don't boot into recovery that often anyway.
