Guest JohnMetz Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Hi Anyone found a supplier that can source the 1250mAh battery in the phone? Or has anyone tried another ZTE battery to check for compatibility? Cheers John

Cheers John A source for the 1500mAh battery in the Blade sold in China would be pretty cool, and give us a few extra hours (guessing that will probably be a fatter unit and not fit though)

Thoughts? Suggestions for a charging unit that could charge just a battery, as in not a phone? Andy

Andy I need replacement battery for my san-fran, I used WiFi tethering on it for a few hours and the battery got cooked (around forty three centigrade)

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before these are available.
Guest StevenHarperUK Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Any advance? I'll ask the guys who work with ZTE tomorrow (Wednesday) - he sits at the other side of the office.

Guest lonegunman Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 I'll ask the guys who work with ZTE tomorrow (Wednesday) - he sits at the other side of the office. Ask them about a 2.2 update as well or maybe a hint if they are going to do one for the blade....
Guest oink1 Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Ask them about a 2.2 update as well or maybe a hint if they are going to do one for the blade.... ^^^ +1 :)
Guest StevenHarperUK Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 ^^^ +1 :) Ok: I will, but if I get told that I am not allowed to tell. then I wont be able to give any comments.
Guest mELIANTE Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Ok: I will, but if I get told that I am not allowed to tell. then I wont be able to give any comments. If you comment in a criptic mysterious way there will be no problem :)
Guest DaveyP Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 If you comment in a criptic mysterious way Indeed... a "no comment" is just as good as pleading the fifth. :)
Guest tdroza Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 How much are you willing to pay for a spare battery? You could get one for £99, with a free spare SanFrancisco thrown in! :)
Guest dadashi Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 shouldn't Orange be responsible for supplying their own phones with spare parts like batteries, back panels, cases, straps, etc...
Guest rjm2k Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 shouldn't Orange be responsible for supplying their own phones with spare parts like batteries, back panels, cases, straps, etc... You would think it would be in their interest as they could make more money out of it
Guest Xess Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 You would think it would be in their interest as they could make more money out of it Just makes me wonder....If Orange will keep supporting the San Francisco ???,would have been nice if they had some screen protectors, cases in there shops to go with the phone...
Guest jsplace Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Has anyone approached Cameron Sino about this? They are usually the first to bring aftermarket batteries on the scene.
Guest lonegunman Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I dont think orange or ZTE thought this phone would take off as much as it has, also look at all the other zte phones you dont get much for them do you, joys of the chinese phone makes.
Guest AndyHibberd Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Spoke to the woman in Orange about cases and she said very unlikely they will make one. Even though it is an Orange branded phone! She then pointed to the myriad of IPHONE cases on the wall and I gave her a blank face stare.

Check this out for a case What i have just a little bit of work needed to make it fit (ie snap a bit of plastic to get to the buttons)
Guest AndyHibberd Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I'm after something a lot slimmer, barely noticeable. That is far too cumbersome for my tastes, looks like you're flipping open a journalist pad or something. A good solid case would be useful for bike rides and such, like a full shell.
Guest JohnMetz Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Back to the batteries :) I contacted an ebay supplier xiaoqinzhang2009 and he gave me the following reply I have check. In China, this battery is 1300 mah, same ID. These type phone will be sell next money. So recently there is no battery for sell. Is that OK?? When I get it, I will contact you. I will update when he gets back to me. John

I bought this case from ebay for my Nokia 5230. Tried it when I got my San Francisco. It felt a bit tight on the first day, but after a day or so san francisco fit perfectly. Not too tight or loose. Just perfect.
