I know this may have been covered elsewhere.. CUS1 to GEN1

I'm pretty new to this. I have an Acer Liquid which came with 1.6 Eclair. I used this forum to get up to speed a couple of months ago and successfully flashed it to 2.1. I'm now desperate to flash it to 2.2 but I've run into the GEN1 CUS1 problem.

I'm in the UK so I've got a CUS1 OS installed, I'm pretty sure I'm right in saying my phone WILL work with a GEN1 2.2 flash?

If so, how do I go about doing it, as the Acer flash util I have now tells me I can't swap from CUS1 to GEN1.

Ive tried downloading an older Acer flash util from Jan 2010 but it works on neither my PC (Win7) or laptop (Vista) - just says "<etc> has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution"

Am I missing something?

I fixed this by running the A1 util in Windows XP compatibility mode.
