What version does the Dell Streak ship with?

Hey guys, I might be switching to AT&T and I want to get the Dell Streak since that's their best phone. I've heard mixed things about what version it ships with. Can someone clarify and tell me what it ships with? I want to root it and run at least 2.1, followed by the release of cm6. That is doable right? Also, how is the quadrant score compared to the top android phones like the nexus and G2?

I know the O2 version here over the pond ships with 1.6

The US one ships with 1.6 as well. I just got mine 2 weeks ago.
