Guest niko3 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Hello, all I am very interested on this device, but the last thing I want to know before I buy it is is how are the voip apps working? If anyone have tried Nimbuzz or Fring please share your expirience. I want to know did you have any problems with theese two applications.
Guest clivec Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Nimbuzz works ok, not tried fring tho. Although i must say i prefer ebuddy over nimbuzz purely cos it actually displays avatars where nimbuzz does not, (well, not for me anyway)
Guest Jeza Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Have you tried Nimbuzz for skype calls? I tried it, call connects but neither person could hear each other. Would be interested to here if you've got it working with skype, though i see skype have an android app out now so will give that shot instead.

Guest z0mbix Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Woot - Skype's been released for android! forget Nimbuzz... Anyone experiencing problems with VoIP apps like Skype/Sipdroid where the sound comes out the speaker?
Guest wakaru Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Unfortunately yes.. I am having the same issue. I am using Sebastian404's de-orangeated custom ROM R6 and SIPDroid 2.01 According to what's discussed HERE and HERE, it may be something that could be fixed when compiling the custom ROM. Paul? Sebastian?
Guest aser28 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Fring is working perfecly with mine
Guest Surmoka Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Woot - Skype's been released for android! forget Nimbuzz... Forget Skype. They constantly force other developers to NOT support the Skype protocol - and they stick to their own implementation which is a huge and meaningless blob. Tell me, for what are those several megabytes needed in a basic phone application? Other apps support many protocols in one yet they are a fraction of Skype in size.
