Guest Commadus Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 1) Bought San Francisco for £79 - Check. 2) Unlocked via NCk for £2.60 - Check. 3) Now onto the hard part how do I get my contacts and addresses off my Nokia 5800 and onto my San Francisco?
Guest Mark Two Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Install Mail for Exchange on Nokia 5800 and sync your contacts to google. Then they will automagically appear in Android
Guest clonmult Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Install Mail for Exchange on Nokia 5800 and sync your contacts to google. Then they will automagically appear in Android Or do it direct from phone to phone. Select all contacts on the 5800. Send business card via bluetooth. Receive on SanFran, import via the contacts app. simples!
Guest randal24 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 I sync'd to WAB, exported to CSV, imported to GMail Contats then synced the phone with contacts.

In the message bar if I click on any of the contacts it says cannot handle unknown file type .vcf

Guest ezablade Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Ok I paired up and sent the VCF files to the phone but its not importing them into contacts. In the message bar if I click on any of the contacts it says cannot handle unknown file type .vcf Export the contacts to vcf on your PC using Nokia PC Suite, then copy them onto the SD card, then import from SD card (it's an option when you choose to import on the SF).
Guest Commadus Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Done = thanks to everyone. Simple guide. 1. On 5800 go to contacts. 2. Select Options 3. Mark All 4. Send via Bluetooth 5. Send to San Francisco 6. Accept on San Francisco. 7. Go to Contacts App on F. 8. Press Menu. Then Import /Export 9. Import from SD Card. 10. Import all vCard files.
Guest oh!dougal Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) Just so people know - This works for the 5530 and likely all other Nokia Bluetooth phones. And probably something similar would work for other phones with Bluetooth. It works (OK it loses Group info - but Android is only so-so with Groups, gotta do them at Google, then re-sync) Its quick. It requires no extra software. And its pretty cool ... Edited December 5, 2010 by oh!dougal
