Argh, free space al vanished

Simple question, where the hell does all the free space vanish too on the Desire?

I've only got a handful of apps installed, most of them on the SD card via froyo's inbuilt magic and yet still I've only got 14mb of 147mb free on the internal storage.

Anything I can do?

Cook a ROM with Dalvik2SD and Apps2SD and enjoy the space :)

Some stuff will still use your internal storage even if you install A2SD+.

My phone has only 20mb free using A2SD+ but I do have a lot of apps. Use a cleaner to clean your cache. Something in the line of Cachemate or Cache Cleaner.

Clear cache. web browser, youtube, market place facebook stuff like that use a lot of cache

Cache mate freed up over 70 Meg on my phone!!!

I also manually deleted old contact photos too, I can't remember where I found these though,

Cache Cleaner just cleared 14mb for me :)

It's free from the Market, btw.

Cache cleaner did nothing for me sadly, but wow APPS2SD+, installed that with the dalvik cache move and I've got a massive 96mb free. Not bad
