Hi, been trying to get new software on new phone and have run into difficulties. the question is, Can anybody help?

Screen is stuck on Green Man and won't budge, only way to turn off is taking the battery out.

Even the drive on phone is not recognised so can't seem to do anything from Command Prompt.

really stuck and very grateful for useful advice.

Thanks.

Ok, downloaded and installed via Command Prompt onto SD, which is my G: drive; flashed first, so I believe, then followed up with r3 Superboot / MCRi. Command promts all came back positive, you know with "waiting for device", etc. Started the baby up and not getting past Green Man.

To make matter worse I cannot get into G to delete, rename, etc..

Did you actually _read_ the entire post?

You need to DOWNLOAD fastboot as well as the superboot.img

OH, and spelling fastboot-windows also helps

You need to put the phone in fastboot mode (turn on holding the V+ button so it hangs on the green man) plug the cable in and then do the flashing,so open cmd.exe and write the superboot img, you cant do it from the sd card.

Do that, but it hangs on the green man anyway. It does nothing else!

There is no recoginition of the USB link anymore. :)

Wait and see what these Techno Wizards come up with. What happens if you brick the other one too?

Sounds like the update file you put on your memory card was a bad download.

Pit your memory card in a card reader and put the file back on, having checked the md5 hash or downloaded in a different browser.

If you can follow instructions, you'll sort it out.

Don't return the device, it's not broken. MCRi flashes are effectively brickproof.
