Guest z0mbix Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 I've had my SF for about 4 days now. I've unlocked it and using it on T-Mobile, rooted it and installed MCR r3. I know there are several threads on some of these, but thought it may be helpful to start a thread with problems I've spotted so far to see who (if any of you) are experiencing the same problems: 1) No enter key when using Google Talk in landscape mode 2) Sound comes out the speakerphone when using Sipdroid/Skype 3) Wi-Fi disconnects when phone goes to sleep 4) Occasional CPU hitting 99% for minutes at a time. Any others/solutions/workarounds? Cheers z0mbix

I suspect that Skype will need to make changes to the program so it works better on the blade. 3) Sadly this is a known issue and does affect other Android devices. Apparently this has been fixed with Android 2.2, which we don't currently have an update for 4) Usually caused by an application you've installed. Install an application such as OSMonitor will allow you to see exactly what apps are using so much CPU.
Guest ezablade Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 (edited) Luckily I have Skype for 3 (despite the 3 website saying my phone is incompatbile), which acts just like a normal phone call when you call someone on it. Oh, and it's free to call anyone else on Skype as long as you're in the UK when you make the call. Edited October 5, 2010 by ezablade
Guest xzyk Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 could any of you guys direct me to the skype for android (apk ?) please. I've been searching for it but can't find it anywhere. I do have both O2 and 3 networks available if that makes it possible to download it from the 3 site. thanks.

I was using the Android keyboard and even tried "Better Keyboard" but both don't have an enter key. Touchpal works ok, but I really hate it, but I can live with it. Thanks for the OSMonitor tip, that should help me track the rogue app down. Cheers z0mbix

Installed OK, but, wouldn't log in. Seems to be a common problem, judging by the comments on the market. Clicked on the forgot password link and it errored, saying I was using an incompatible browser! Using the standard Android browser.

Guest Simon O Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Ok the Google Talk keyboard problem isn't caused by the phone, it's implemented by Google. As I found on the Google issues page: "The Send key is available right above the keyboard and it was decided to not provide a duplicate but rather offer more features."
Guest sslyby Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 i'm having issues with the touch screen being unresponsive or delayed also if i click a certain part of the screen it selects something else in another part of the screen. i was wondering if this was a hardware or software issue
Guest mike557 Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 2 - Audio through the speaker was the same on the Pulse, so expect this is not phone specific. 3 - The wifi issue although not fixed is 'bodged' and gets front buttons working as a bonus here.
Guest flash2004 Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 Comment here to get the skype issue fixed http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...solved-quickly/
