Guest Matt C Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 I have had the blade for a few days now (from a BB 8900) and think its great, I have rooted, put the Modaco r2 ROM on it and also the HTC keyboard (which I currently find the best). I do find though that I can get well ahead of the keyboard when typing (2 thumb typing) as this means that I often make mistakes when at pace as the corrective (which is very helpful) has not noticed the new words I have used or I have done 1 mistake which can send the whole word crazy!! I was wondering if there are any tricks, as on my girlfriends Desire I am much better (it might be a room problem as well, with the bigger screen) but there seems to be a lag between pressing and the indication that it has been accepted and the buzz of the phone (haptic reminder). Anyone else suffer this? Is this an issue due to the slower processor? Just reminds me of some horrible windows touch screen phones I had years ago...

Guest Simon O Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 :) Ah well that explains it. The hacked HTC keyboard is, in my opinion, sluggish.
Guest jampton Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Having banana fingers I found all keyboards slow / difficult - I now use swype it's much better for me.

Guest biron_w Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Ah well that explains it. The hacked HTC keyboard is, in my opinion, sluggish. I found that with the pulse. Android keyboard is probably the one that can take input the fastest.

I am correct in saying that the Android keyboard doesn't have any predictive facility? Don't think that thee Swype keyboard is do me as I am too used to the 2 finger (thumb) system to write our emails. hence can anyone suggest a god keynoard with predictive or at least a good spell checker as this pargraph has been soehat painfull to write with the Standard Android keyboard. Argh! I hate to say it but it could b a real del breaker!!
Guest Matt C Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Sorry for the disjointed reply above, as you can see this is somewhat frustrating as you can well imagine!
