Guest ashok2621 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Hi Can anyone please help me? I have T-mobile pulse UK. I upgraded to FLB mod 1.7 overclocked version. Now i purchased a i-smart sim from deal extreme and put it into the pulse and on top of it i put my O2 sim. I dont get the sim lock message but it is unable to register the sim card with O2. It says (No service) No Sim card. When i try to select the network myself.(Your sim card does not allow to connect to network) Please advice how to fix it. I have seen many users claiming that it works on Pulse. cheers Ashok
Guest Armadillo1 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 That's very similar to my situation. I got an iSmart sim just a few days ago and couldn't get it to work either, although my phone has previously been unlocked it is now locked. I'm wondering if I should get a TurboSim instead. Sorry, no solutions from me, but you do get my sympathy :)

I have noticed that it has bypassed the locking because it does not ask for any sim unlock password etc which it asks when i put my o2 sim without i-smart sim. It suggests me that it has definitly unlocked it but it is unable to get the O2 network to be registered somehow. cheers Ashok

Thanks

Guest whackster Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 I think that somehow the providers are blocking the smart-sim cards, I used one on a t-mobile branded phone and it worked flawlessly for more than a month, and then it simply stopped. Now it shows the PIN code screen and accepts the code (different operator, correct PIN code) but still can't connect to any networks. Ordered another smart-sim and its not the smart-sims fault. I tried the same phone with a different operator sim, and it worked (which is weird). I'll try it with my Pulse and report back if it works tonight. :)

I can easily access all the features of phone but i cannot register it with the O2 network. It says that your Sim does not allow connection to this network.. cheers Ashok
Guest fraxos Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 I get somewhat similar problems. Inititially my phone would work with the Turbo Sim and my 3 sim card. However, after receiving the phone back from T-Mobile, who replaced the motherboard, now my Pulse will only work with the T-Mobile sim card in it. Furthermore, and despite having the correct APN settings for T-Mobile I cannot at any point access the internet.
Guest ashok2621 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Is there anyone who can help on this ? I am really getting frustrated because of this. cheers
Guest goce.nakov Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Is there anyone who can help on this ? I am really getting frustrated because of this. cheers Why you bought smart sim and you didn't bought unlock code?
Guest ashok2621 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) Why you bought smart sim and you didn't bought unlock code? T-mobile is not unlocking the phone before three months. I dont know any other source who can unlock it. Moreover, i found in hotukdeals where someone suggested this and it was working for many people over there. When i put i-sim with my O2 card., it says that it cannot connect to the regisetered network. I think there is some entry somewhere that my registered network is T-mobile. When my O2 sim tries to connect to it, it refuses because of network mismatch. Does anyone know how to edit that registered network entry or if someone can tell me which file does have that entry? I am pretty sure that it gets unlocked as it does not ask any pin etc but it does not connect to the network. Please advice... cheers Ashok Edited October 6, 2010 by ashok2621
Guest Armadillo1 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Ashok... You must have missed this sticky thread above :) http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...for-s19-99-p14/ You can unlock the phone using a code and you don't have to wait 3 month. Actually, you probably don't have to even wait 24 hours.

Guest ashok2621 Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 I was referring to that :) Thanks a lot to both of you for referring this... But some strange thing happened yesterday, I put my T-mobile sim along with i-sim and it also did not work. Then i downgraded the firmware update to 1.5 and i was surprised to see that this time t-mobile sim along with i-sim started working. I made a call and it went fine. Then i simply replaced the t-mobile sim with O2 sim with i-sim and it also worked. I was so delighted. But stupid me, updated the term fix of FLB mod 1.7 and then it stopped working and showing the same status. After that, i tried the same thing n number of times but no luck. It proves that definitly that i-sim worked but that update messed up everything again. Any idea why does it happen that way... cheers Ashok

Guest Simon O Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 If that is the case, then is something with the kernel. Unlikely but if it is caused by the kernel then it's not something I can fix. Have you tried using an older version of FLB-Mod?
Guest gusthy Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 If that is the case, then is something with the kernel. This whole thing has nothing to do with the kernel, it doesn' do anything radio firmware.
