Guest dan653 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Ok so just noticed this today that according to my lock screen I have an alarm set for 6:00am, Thursday, thing is I can find no trace of this alarm in the clock app, global time app, calender, etc. There is no alarm symbol in the status bar (there is if I set a new alarm) I vaguely remember setting the alarm early last week prior to rooting and installing mcr r2 (have now updated r3). Did the custom ROM replace/change the clock app? or is there somewhere else I should look for alarms?
Guest ravenswood Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Same problem here, I'm sure there was an Alarm app before I installed R2, but it's gone now Any way to get rid of it or get the alarm app back?
Guest thomas01155 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 The alarm clock is under Clock.
Guest ravenswood Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 The alarm clock is under Clock. Unfortunately, that seems to set a different alarm - it doesn't show up on the Lock screen - the original alarm does.
Guest dan653 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 all fixed, as expected the r2 rom replaced the alarm app, but left any alarms it had active intact. so onto the fix...download the stock orange romextract itlook in the app folder for an application called 'alarming.apk'copy it to your micro sd cardinstall it on your phoneload the 'alarm' app, disable and delete any alarmsuninstall 'alarm' via the settings menureboot your phone

Guest dan653 Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 no need to switch roms just open the stock orange one on your computer using 7zip or winrar, etc but yeah it's attached... alarming.zip you should really keep a copy of the stock orange rom locally be it on your micro sd card or pc just in case you need to return it or if something gets seriously messed up, it's only ~93mb
