I have compiled my own version of Koush's ClockworkMod Recovery for the Blade... and it works great! :)

It'll be online tomorrow, which means we can do nandroid backups, setup a MCR kitchen and much more!

Woohoo!

...Although in all fairness I have no idea what an MRC kitchen is/does, just tried to Google it but I'm still lost, sorry for the nooby question but can anyone explain it to me in simple terms? :)

Some time after tomorrow! :)

Are we talking days or weeks?

In the kitchen it would. Be good if you could add some HTC features such as sense and lock screen.

Hello Paul, do we use the same method putting it on the phone as we did the r3 root?

Would it be also possible to:

1. change logo / boot animation?

2. Format SD card?

3. Reset user data/cache?

Me neither! :)

With this being my first Android, I thought I was being brave rooting & flashing it! This "kitchen" business might be a step too far for me! :(

Kitchens are easy to use, basically you tick the bits you want in your rom from a selection of apps / features and it creates the rom for you to download, then it's just a matter of flashing it

Awesome. Will you be adding ROM Manager to the MCR roms also? It's very useful when using Clockworkmod Recovery :)

I've always liked minimal!

So if I wanted ROM Manager, I can download it, File manager, I can get that too, I hate roms that are full of crap I really dont want:(

Great stuff, will you be able to get Koush to put it in his repository so that ROM manager can install it for us?

ROM Manager is the front-end to Clockwork recovery. Without it you cannot access most features of the recovery image.

I don't agree with that, you can do everything in clockworkmod recovery from the recovery GUI?

Pigs will fly before that happens. I made a bug fix to the Clockwork recovery for Pulse users, let him know about this and sent him a fixed image. The guy just ignored me and didn't bother updating the image in his repository.
