Guest Wee Thomas Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 About once or twice a week, I notice that the time is off on my Dell Streak. This is whether I have it set to use network time, or give it the time manually. With network time, what usually happens is that the time get's stuck at some previous value, then updates to the correct time later. What I have noticed with the manual time, the issue I've seen is fluctuation. For example, it would be 1:00pm and my phone will show 1:00pm for 5 minutes, then at 1:05pm it's showing something like 1:15pm. Rebooting the phone usually helps, but is is annoying sometimes, especially when I notice this happening close to times when I have meetings scheduled. I can be absent minded at times or get focused on working on one thing and lose track of time, so it would be nice if my Streak were a bit more reliable in this regard. Anyone else experience this issue?
Guest popetodd Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Do you have any task killers running?
Guest J4MIE Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 I get the same thing happening with mine, today it happened for the first time in a few weeks, but at least it runs fast so I end up being early rather than late!!!
Guest HoTdiGiTi Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 This happened to mine once, thought it was an network prob. Hasnt happened again, wether or not it was wen i was on 1.6 not happened since 2.1
Guest untrueparadox Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 happened several times on tmobile. im on the o2 rom with a us streak. its usually 15minutes early when its off and a reboot will fix it. kinda annoying nontheless.

Guest Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 I get this but have managed to narrow it down to when I have my Streak connected to a PC running Ubuntu (10.04 or 10.10). When it is connected to Windows 7 or the mains then the time remains correct and as set.
Guest gilrad Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 Mine just jumped ahead 15 mins. In case its important, it was charging on a winxp box for a good few hours. Restarting fixed it.
Guest DellStreak Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 I had this issue too but I got round it by downloading 'ClockSync' from the Market place and have it Sync my phones clock every hour. You need to have your Streak rooted or it won't work.
Guest THJahar Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 I had this too. it seems to happen only when unplugging the streak from either a charger or a PC. you don't have to reboot it either, just leave the phone and within an hour or so itll show the correct time again. It also seems to disappear once you upgrade to 2.1 (or it maybe because I didn't put a task killer on as well)
