Guest 2rl Posted October 5, 2010 Report Posted October 5, 2010 Hi! if i do "a2sd swappy30" it does'nt works(flb 1.6b) If i do: "echo 30 > /proc/sys/vm/swappiness" it works but if you reboot the phone it goes back to the default value of 15 unles you write the command again I've put a "sysctl.conf" file in /system/etc/ with this: "vm.swappiness = 30" inside, and it's not working Is there anything else i could do? Anyway i'm doing it because since last week when i'm in any app and press home button launcher pro restarts and i think that maybe it's because i'm running low of ram and changing the swappiness to 30 could help
Guest TaiwanCHT8k Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) an app called swapper2 on market does a good job and it's got GUI you might wanna turn that built-in DTa2sd swap feature off and try swapper2 for a few days Edited October 6, 2010 by TaiwanCHT8k

Just ask in the FLB MOD topic, I'm sure someone ill answer there. Cheers! EDIT: Oh, you also have an older version of a2sd :) If you don't plan to switch to 1.7, that command will not work on your rom version, than just use Swapper2. Edited October 6, 2010 by igor_anta

Guest jamielockeymusic Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) i use swapper 2 and it works perfectly! :) with FLB MOD 1.5 (flashed swap kernal) kicks in as soon as you have booted your phone (well once its loaded and SU has granted it) EDIT: Also, since using it (been a week now) LauncherPro hasnt restarted once when leaving another app ;) Edited October 6, 2010 by jamielockeymusic
